The Werribee Bushwalking and Outdoor Club comprises approximately 50 members ranging in ages from 15 to 70 who all share the common interest of enjoying the bush and the pleasure of walking.
Walks vary from metropolitan parks and gardens, national & state parks and are rated easy, medium & hard according to the length and difficulty of the terrain.
We aim to provide at least 1-2 walks per month with the majority held on a Sunday.
Additionally, during the year we have several overnight or weekend walks.
The Club also has the occasional bike ride and a number of social activities during the year.
A monthly newsletter is produced and sent to all financial members. It contains previews of upcoming walks, reviews of walks held the previous month and any other relevant news or issues which may be of interest to members.
The leader of each walk is the contact point for each walk. Members can ring the leader to register their interest in the walk and to obtain further details if necessary.
Cars are pooled on the day with a small fee paid to the driver by the passengers to cover petrol costs.
The Club meets at 8pm on the first Monday of each month.
Except: Easter Monday and the Monday before Cup Day (in November) when it is moved to the 2nd Monday. There is no meeting in January).
We meet in the Board Room of the Tigers Club on old Geelong Road Hoppers Crossing, (near Spotlight).
