About Us

Werribee Bushwalking & Outdoor Club

The Werribee Bushwalking & Outdoor Club currently comprises about 47 members, mostly ranging in age from 35 to 75.

The Club is affiliated with Bushwalking Victoria and aims to provide at least 1-2 walks each month. These are mostly held on Sundays and are usually conducted in national or state parks, or metropolitan parks or gardens. The Club also organises occasional overnight walks, weekends away, shutterbug (photography) events, bike rides and social activities.

The Club produces a monthly newsletter that is sent to all financial members. The newsletter contains previews of upcoming walks, reviews of walks held in the previous month, and any other relevant news or issues that may be of interest to members.

Club meetings are usually held at 7.30 pm on the second Thursday of each month (except in January when there is no meeting) at the Old Shire Offices on the corner of Watton Street and Duncans Road in Werribee. Many of our meetings are preceded by an information session or guest speaker. Visitors are welcome to attend our meetings.
