Lerderderg State Park is closed because of an ongoing bushfire risk in the area. Therefore the walk will be rescheduled. In the meantime a walk in the Anakie Gorge has been suggested instead.
This is an easy return walk of 6 to 7 kms
Bring a hat, coat, sunscreen, hike boots or suitable walking shoes, water, lunch and snacks.
The track is a hard earthen surface with no hills.
We will start from Anakie Gorge picnic area, walk though the gorge to Stoney Creek picnic area, have morning tea, then return to Anakie Gorge picnic area. There are toilets at both picnic areas.
