The drive from Werribee to the Lower Picnic Ground in the You Yangs Regional Park is about 30 minutes. The walk will start from here. There are toilets here as well.
The first 1 km of the walk is uphill, (the only hill on the walk) with some rocks to step over and around. If you don’t want to do the hill, you can start from the turntable carpark. Most of the walk is on flat, solid earthen track with the last half a kilometre off track.
You will need to bring a hat, raincoat, hiking boots or suitable walking shoes, sunscreen, water, lunch and snacks and your own first aid kit.
The walk heads up the Link Track to the turntable carpark. This is where we will encounter the rocks and we may also see a few kangaroos along here.
From the turntable we walk downhill and do the branding yard loop in an anti-clockwise direction. We will have morning tea at the Bunjil Geoglyph.
We then continue the walk down Branding Yard Road to Circle Drive, along Circle Drive for a short distance, then go off track, through the bush, back to Lower picnic ground.
