Walk starts at Steiglitz Historic Court House about 57 kilometres from Werribee.

The track has a mostly well packed surface with some rocky sections and could be slippery in places if heavy rain has occurred.
Walk passes the old town area, then follows a waterway, diverges to the Crossing car park and picnic area.
From there the track follows beside a gully to the Pines car park, then parallels the Steiglitz – Durdidwarrah road back to the Court House.
There is evidence of past mining activity along the way and is a pleasant walk through bushland.
