Junction Pools, Werribee Gorge

We will carpool from Werribee to Quarry Picnic area in Werribee Gorge, about a 45 minute drive.
There is a toilet at the carpark. The trail is on a hard earthen track with some loose stones under foot and 3 hill climbs, 1 is quite steep.

You will need to bring a hat, sunscreen, raincoat, hiking boots or suitable walking shoes (not sandals or thongs), lunch, water, snacks and walking poles if you have them.

The walk starts from Quarry Picnic area, descending down into the lower gorge area. The walk continues a little way into the gorge, then takes the short circuit track up to the top of the gorge where we will have
morning tea at Picnic Point lookout with a beautiful view looking into the gorge.

We continue along the Circuit trail and Centenary trail to Junction Pools where we will have our lunch.

Then return to Quarry Picnic area. Its not a long walk, but a reasonable level of fitness is required.
