We will carpool from Werribee to Daylesford, an 80 minute drive from Werribee.
You will need to bring your coat, hat, sunscreen, hiking boots or suitable walking shoes (no thongs or sandals), first aid kit, lunch, snacks and water.
There are 2 walk options.
Both walks start from the carpark at Lake Daylesford. There are toilets at the carpark. There are also barbeques here but unfortunately they weren’t working at the time of the walk preview.
Walk 1: Circuits the lake for about 2 kms. We then do a short hill climb, coming down the other side to meet up with the trail that will take us to Twin Bridges.
After a short break we will head back to the carpark. The trail will take us past some mineral spring pumps. This trail varies, some of it is narrow and partially overgrown with some rocks on the path and some of it is a concrete walk way, with a few small hills along the way.
Walk 2: the lake circuit walk starts from the carpark, circuiting the lake on a mostly hard earthen track with some concrete path. There are no hills and part of the walk is in full sun.
