Plenty Gorge and Blue Lake Walk

Distance from Werribee 60 minutes and the walk will commence from the Yellow Gum car park where there are toilets and parking.
Bring water, sunscreen, hat, raincoat, morning tea, lunch, sturdy walking shoes or boots, first aid kit.
Track conditions are generally on compacted earth with a couple of short but steep rises. We will walk through the gorge following a circuit. The terrain is mainly bushland with a tree canopy.
We’ll have morning tea midway on some logs in a small open area. There is a short walk (200 metres) down to the river which hikers may wish to trek before returning along the trail and taking the track past the Blue Lake which was formerly a quarry.
Depending upon the weather and time we can have lunch near the lake by taking a track down to the rocks or return and have lunch at the picnic tables.
