To Seaford by train is 2 hrs 26m leaving at 8.11 change trains at Flinders St for Frankston train arriving at Seaford around 10.30am
This walk is a mixture of fine gravel, board walks and footpaths.
Walking from Seaford Station to Plaza Lane, Frankston will take about 6kms – 1.5hrs
Bring Water, hat, snacks, lunch, sturdy walking shoes/boots, dress for the weather and first aid kit. There will be opportunities along the way to buy food and or coffee or BYO.
From Seaford Station walk west along Station St to The Kananook Creek Trail
Walk south along the western side of the creek until you reach the Long Island Tennis Club.
Cross Gould St and continue along the Kananook Creek. Cross the Fiocchi Ave bridge and continue along the eastern bank of the creek.
After emerging from the trees, the path follows the Kananook Creek Boulevarde.
At Wells St we turn right crossing the creek again, walk through the car park of Waves on the Beach Restaurant to pick up the Frankston Beach Walk.
This boardwalk intersects with Long Island Drive. Turn left to follow the Bay Trail over the Zoetrope Bridge. Once over the bridge turn left and follow the Kananook Blvd along the creek. Turn right on Playne St, cross the Nepean Hwy and walk SE to Plaza Lane. Here we will find 7 artworks in close proximity.
On the way to the Frankston Station there are many more art works that we can explore.
Once we are done we will catch the train from Frankston Station home.
